Children's Mental Health Week 2024

The theme for this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week is ‘My voice matters.’ In school we have been raising aware of what mental health is and how everyone can take positive steps to monitor and reflect on their own mental health.

All year groups have had an assembly focusing on what mental health is and isn’t, in order to challenge misconceptions and stigma relating to mental health.

In PSHE lessons, this week and next, students in year 7-11 have or will be discussing mental health and watching a short film that has been made specifically for secondary school children.

For more information about Children’s Mental Health week and the short film, please visit the websites below. Both also offer guidance and support regarding young people’s mental health.
