Year 7 Remote Learning and Reward points

The Year 7 team are pleased to see how well Year 7 students are doing with their remote learning.

It does get tougher as the weeks go by but so many of you are showing strong resilience lesson after lesson. Another 27 students have reached Bronze level in reward points, so a special well done to you for demonstrating the school values even when working from home. These students are listed below. Charles Harris, Ben Gregory and JJ Smith still top the Y7 Leader 4board with each having more than 200 points -so we look forward to rewarding some silver certificates soon.

We hope that the shorter lessons are helping you to manage your day better. It is important that you do take a break from all screens during these extra breaks – that includes looking at your phone! Use these extra 15 minutes to have a stretch, walk around, get a drink, go to the loo etc and maybe have a quick chat with someone if possible. However, do keep an eye on the time or set an alarm so you are not late to your next lesson.

Now that we have these extra breaks you shouldn’t be disappearing during your lessons to get drinks etc so do try to be organised. On that note, know where your chargers are and check battery levels at the end of each lesson.

Thank you to everyone who shared pictures, poems, sayings and comments on our padlet last week they certainly cheered up my weekend! I have seen a few daffodils this week hinting that Spring is on its way so let’s have the theme of yellow this week: can you post something yellow that makes you happy?
