05. Higher Education

Many of our Post 16 students continue their education post John of Gaunt at Higher Education.  Students will be informed about how the application process works through their PEC lessons, Tutor sessions, guest speakers, UCAS fairs and visits to universities.

Below you will find a range of useful sites to visit to find out more about Higher Education.

UCAS (the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) is the website to use for finding out a wide range of information about universities and the courses available, It is also the on-line platform through which the Higher Education application is both submitted and managed.

Further to the UCAS website there are also a number of websites that allow you to compare courses and explore what you could do in the future with specific degrees.  Details can be found below.

We also recommend you visit the universities you're interested in.  Below you'll find the Open Days website that will inform you of all the events available.

If, after your research, you'd like to discuss your options further please do talk to any of the Post 16 team or our school careers staff.
